It sounds like you may have an incorrect message center number in your device. If you by chance have AT&T service you can go to the enclosed link for the device tutorial for this device and under prerequisites near the top of the page click on the message center number hyperlink to get to the steps to verify the correct number is in the device. If you do not have AT&T you can stll use the same steps to get to the message center number but you would need to get the correct SMS message center number from your carrier
