    Does my fish tank need an air pump?

    I just read the following I am now really confused?

    Are air pumps Necessary or not in fish tanks?

    I've always used an air pump in a fish tank to keep the water moving and circulating. You can get a cheap air pump at Wal-mart or whatever.

    An airpump is only necessary if you don't have a filter on your tank

    People usually use it with decorations, which creates bubbles through use of the airpump

    You can always add one for additional oxygen though
