no we have so many worse issues then kids watching porn like our rights getting eroded. You give them one inch they will take foot and soon you wont have free media.

What was the guys name that was busted for email young men in congress. He was the head of the Child protected act on the Internet. A Rep I believe.

The point being is that you have to make use who you are voting for. Just because they say they are Rep's doesn't mean a thing.

The ultimate responsibilities lie with the parents. If you let your 10yr old on the internet and walk off, then you are the foolish parent that will be on TV asking why your child wasn't better protected. Federal and state laws can only be so effective when trying to shield youngsters from bad elements. If a parent won't take responsibility for thier own child, then who will?

Because technology has outpaced the law. Further, the internet know no political boundaries.

Uh. Sorry, but the internet is SUPPOSED to be for older people. Why let kids on here anyways?
    LOL
But luckily there are things like Barracuda, and Spyware you can install, and you can block some sites.

the internet isn't monitored by anyone, and honestly a child isn't going to find a porn site unless it wants to. I did not know about them until I was like 10. and how many stalkers have started to stalk you since you started using the internet??

There is a wonder filter for the internet: it is called parents.

We have a computer in our family room where we all hang out. The screen is situated so anyone can see it. That is the computer my kid uses for the internet.

Well here's a thought, if you are the parent of a child don't allow them to use the internet (designed by adults, for adults) unsupervised then you'll have nothing to worry about.

Shouldent the parents be doing this? If you cant watch your kids on the computer all the time then dont let them on all the time... Put the computer in the family room instead of hidden away in their own room...

A lot of technology we have has developed faster than laws we have to protect them unfortunatly. If you feel you cant protect yourself or your children, dont use it, simple.... Its like that for everything... If you dont feel safe having your children out on the street at night you dont have them there do you?
