How do I format a memory card for the Nokia N72 Phone?

when i tried formating a 1GB Kingston memory card for and on my phone, it corrupted the memory card, so maybe am doing the wrong thing. Please someone help!!!

You can format the card by plugging it into to a USB flash card reader then go to my computer. Right click on the icon that says removable disk. It should say format memory stick. Make sure you don't format memory stick with file inside or else u corrupt the card. If you have already done this then give the card back to the dude you bought it from and exchange it.

Just press * , call answer button , 3 and switch on button all together.. an ur phone gets formatted..
