3-way calling ? / family plan for verizon?

mm. does anyone know if 3-way calling costs extra money? IF someone calls you? like, i'm not the leader of it? o__o'

actually, i've been doing 5-7way calling for awhile and i'm scared my phone bill will blow up. ><;

i have verizon, if that matters? family plan .__.

and does anyone have the family plan? i don't know how it works out, i wasn't with my dad at the time so i don't know what i can and cannot do.

would they charge extra for long distance calls? and whats considered long distance?
