McCarthy. ? Re: The flick: "No Country For Old Men" being a work of art.. Ok it was a piece of art...and I'll give Cormac McCarthy my respect & admiration. But, there were some really BAD pieces of direction in my opinion --- & I thought it was SLOW. The part where he gets the valice out of the airduct with the hook! First of all--taking the plate off should have been STEALTHLY done. 2ndly, the hook fell on the duct & made a HORRIFIC noise that would have awakened the WHOLE town if for real..& lastly, dragging the valice with the money on the duct made an AWFUL noice..and the hitman never budged. UNREALISTIC...ALL OF IT! It took the realism right out of it!

I've talked to others who agree with this. So, why didn't Cormac McCarthy take issue with the Director about this? Who was the Director anyway! Maybe that's how they get paid-back for doing substandard work...anonymity! >"Who WAS that masked man?!"
