Ever since the lighter weight classes were incorporated into the UFC, I've been noticing much more TKD background fighters or TKD techniques. I think this makes sense considering TKD requires a lot of speed to work most of the time.

Benson Henderson and Anthony Pettis both have Taekwondo backgrounds. They both have attributed their TKD background as contributing to their success. Pettis has said that he is currently working to get his fourth degree black belt in TKD and hopes to open a Taekwondo studio someday.

Even in the Middleweight division, Anderson Silva is a fifth degree blackbelt in TKD and speaks highly of the art.

What do you think? Honestly, as a Taekwondo practitioner myself, I really hope so.
