Saban didn’t give many details about the suspension except to say that it had to do with the NCAA.
Scarbrough had knee surgery in April after tearing his ACL during a spring scrimmage. Saban said Scarbrough, who redshirted last season, but was expected to provide a significant boost to the Tide backfield, is rehabbing ahead of schedule and has practiced with the team this summer, though not taking contact.
Scarbrough was a five-star athlete from the Tide’s 2014 class. He was rated as the No. 2 athlete in the country and the No. 16 player overall by Rivals.com.
