Alabama running back Bo Scarbrough has been suspended for the first four games of the season, according to coach Nick Saban.
Saban didn’t give many details about the suspension except to say that it had to do with the NCAA.
Scarbrough had knee surgery in April after tearing his ACL during a spring scrimmage. Saban said Scarbrough, who redshirted last season, but was expected to provide a significant boost to the Tide backfield, is rehabbing ahead of schedule and has practiced with the team this summer, though not taking contact.
Scarbrough was a five-star athlete from the Tide’s 2014 class. He was rated as the No. 2 athlete in the country and the No. 16 player overall by Rivals.com.
