Suggest you to try 3-party tool in the market. Although most know these files like contact, sms would be saved in iTunes by default, even if we didn't sync device with iTunes. But we couldn't see these files, and it is hard to search in PC.

At last suggest you to Tenorshare iPhone Data Recovery, it have three recovery ways: iTunes, iCloud and without backup. Hope it could help u.

then follow these tips to get back deleted photos from iPhone.

Summary > Backups > Backup Now
Once the backup is created, follow this path -

Alternatively, you could right-click on the phone icon in iTunes, and select Restore Backup ...

If you haven't backed your iPhone up then recover deleted photos from iPhone with this any data recovery iPhone software

    What about backup on iCloud

then these steps will help you restore data from iCloud backup

Most deleted or accidentally deleted files are not so important for iPhone users, except one type of data, that’s photo. Photos usually records the happy and memorable moment in our daily life and it is easily to be deleted by mistake when we are sort out the pictures. Such things have happened on me last year that few photos of my commencement were lost which acted me regretted very much. Then is there any way to get deleted pictures back on iPhone 5?
