What's wrong with my laptop's Bluetooth?

I used to be able to send stuff from my HP Mini to my Android via Bluetooth, which is faster than connecting my USB cable every time, but then one day it all of a sudden stopped. Whenever I try to do a transaction between my phone and laptop via Bluetooth, it fails. My laptop can send to and receive from other devices and so can my phone, but when the two try to interact, it doesn't work.
