He was terminated from his job in the mine. He's been there 2 and a half years. He was fired with cause for sleeping in & showing up to work late BUT he has a sleeping disorder & mild depression. He has filed a grievance with the Union to try to appeal the decision but the Company is arguing that if they hire him back then they would have to hire back other terminated employees.

Also, it might be argued (although I haven't heard it yet) that he should of tried to get his sleeping disorder & depression under control a while ago. ( This is the 5th incident of being late for work due to sleeping in)
