I have a Nexus 7. Already rooted, and on 4.3.

I'd like to use a particular app that has recently been broken since update 4.2 thanks to a bluetooth protocol change in the recent 4.2 update for Android OS.

My question is... Am I able to downgrade ONLY the bluetooth protocol being used on my rooted Nexus 7 (2nd Generation) Update 4.3 to a protocol that was used on an update prior to 4.2?

As a side not, I understand that I'd have the ability to downgrade my OS to 4.1.x. However, I'd like to avoid that as a lot of other things I do on my Nexus rely on some of the features of 4.3.

Thanks in advance.
Okay, so I got impatient and couldn't find any information online pointing towards a successful 4.1.2 flash for the Nexus 7 v2.

I tried it, it failed, i restored back to 4.3

Is there perhaps a custom ROM out there that has the bluetooth protocol I'm looking for from 4.1 or lower?
