BBC news is reporting that margret thatcher has died, my day just got a little brighter.
Mine didn't.
So there we have a perfectly balanced arguement.
I think this needs a better title to be honest, I mean a lot of people are going to be saying OMG, and YES, and a few other TOS breaking stuff
A decent thread starts of with a well structured and balanced arguement.
This thread is already dead.
Iconic figure, loved,hated and misunderstood.

I always had a lot of respect for Maggie
Like her or hate her she refused to compromise what she felt was right - how many politicians can say that? Most are too busy trying to be all things to all people and treat politics as a way to hold onto their jobs.
She was a dominant force in politics and despite the hyperbole on both sides was perhaps the strongest leader the UK had in the latter 20th century
I'm too young to really know what she did during her time as a leader.
yep refused to compromise in her brutal war against the British working class, Labour rights and all manner of other things that were cluttering the place up. Never compromised in her mission to implement friedmen economic which destroyed my country's industry (a country she had no democratic mandate to rule) as well as the industry in the northern part of her own country where no one really voted for her either, yep what a hero.
your too young to read history ?
Poll Tax > Council Tax
Property Prices >> Right to Buy >> the South East bubble

Privatisation > British Telecom, British Gas, British Rail, British Steel, British Coal..... the NHS?
