Can I drive with other people in the car with a driver license?

Persons under 18 may not be employed to drive a motor vehicle. When you turn 18 years of age, the provisional part of your license ends. You may continue to drive as an adult using your photo license, which will expire on your 5th birthday after the date you applied.

I just turned 18 in February. I passed the behind the wheel driving test in April and received my California driver's license. Can I legally drive with other people in the car? Or do I have to wait a year to do so? I'm confused. Please help me. Thank you. =)
