Just curious, we don't receive enough Juvenile training here.

I think there was probably some confusion. I personally train with police in my kwoon, but the juvi stuff they go to is run by the local prosecutors. But yes, they do get juvi training.
GC never believe all the stories that come out in classes !!
Humans tend to over estimate their abilities and enhance their "war stories" .
And contrary to some thoughts on this thread ...Police officers are after all humans ..
My concern isn't about what they may have done, it's what they may do. One is prone to learning a technique and then talking about how he plans to use it as soon as possible. That worries me, both for his sake and the sake of the public.
Sounds to me like the guy is a B+G, Badge and a Gun. Personally I don't like those guys myself. I started HKD in Feb. and I when I learn new techniques the furthest thing from my mind is how/when I get to use it at work. I'm more interested in perfecting my tehcnique.
Except me - I am a Detective!
Yes ....defectives !!!
Hmmm!!
I will reserve judgement on that comment !!!

Right frame of mind there Gangrel! I worked closely with the attorneys that I met and went up against. I wanted to learn what I needed to do to secure a good case and protect the defendants rights. Only made good business sense in my book. But I agree 100% that many cops become "John Wayne" once they are given the badge. Fortunately my career started in corrections where it was me and no less then 30 to one odds. All I carried was a magnet and a radio. Being 5'10" and 150 I was not an intimidating figure either. I had to know the rules better then my "clients". That ain't no easy feat. Many states have all of their police recruits do some time as a correctional officer before hitting the streets and I support this practice. Any cop that thinks his badge makes him 6' tall and bullet proof and the right to be a D**k would never last in a prison setting.
Interesting reads this week....Sorry I have not participated more, I've been busy at work. hope all is well with you guys, hope to talk this weekend.
Kew-Do
I would hope that they would not last in any form of LE setting because that is only trouble waiting to happen
