    "Gorgeous George" Galloway

just wondering what American members take on George Galloways performance at the Senate Hearing was.
In UK there is a fair degree of admiration for his appearance, even by people who do not share his views and beliefs.
I watch FOX "news" on occassion and they seem to have a very dismissive view whilst comparing it to the success of Bill Clintons speech to the "Euros".
not surprising since we "Euros" idolise Clinton they explain!...........Aye right!!
Is Fox representative of how America "reports" news or is it a bit of an oddity.

It seems to combine heavy bias in its reporting alongside simplistic (dare I say ) Gung Ho attitude.
Maybe the BBC isnt as bad as we think

I don't know much about George Galloway, but FOX News is a trainwreck and many in the States will admit that. It's one of the most biased sources of information available and will distort facts and figures to support the political agenda of the American right wing. If you want real news you watch CNN (or read the newspapers; those are generally better anyway). If you'd rather listen to the flag-waving, ultra-patriotic fringe lunatics, you tune in to FOX (especially Bill O'Reilly and Sean Hannity). Conservative America loves it; no one else can stand it.

Some of the standard new on TV in the US is left leaning and fox is right leaning. So it’s best to not take any one news station as the right one. You need to read and watch different sources to get a better overall view.

There's very little left leaning news in the US; studies have repeatedly shown a conservative bias in news reporting on TV and on the radio.

There's nothing wrong with a conservative slant, as long as it's based on facts...FOX just rarely fulfills that, ignoring factual information entirely to cram Rupert Murdoch's world view down America's throat. He's an insane guy. Check out his views sometime, and what he's done to achieve them. I've got nothing against moderate right wingers, but he's a nut job and FOX is his tool.
