Not shocked... but I am happy that he received it.
Where as you're post about 'No. Just;no' seems to indicate you have a problem with him being knighted for some reason.
I'm curious what that reason is.

Actually I'm shocked because my dad was talking about him just this morning. Do you know why exactly he was knighted, slip?
Cool then.
err... did you bother to read the article from the BBC that I posted?
It doesn't sound like it.
Just go back and read the last two lines in the article.
in fact... don't bother I'll quote them for you as an answer to your silly question:
So do you know something the rest of us don't?
I'm still curious why you think he shouldn't be knighted.
DOH!
He was given his knighthood for services to literature.
Funny enough, I read all but the last two lines.
Verx, are every one of your 1156 posts complete rubbish?
as for the knighthood- that's fantastic! he deserves it way more than, say, Keith Richards, or the entire English rugby team.
Haha, i think Verx just misunderstood and thought slip was saying Rushdie being knighted was a bad thing, and thought he should act offended too.
hes a cool dude. funny as hell too. glad to hear it.
I have read several of his books and they have been very amazing works. Bravo.
