On September 4, 1971, this late bloomer made his major league debut for the Red Sox in a game against the Indians. In the bottom of the 6th inning, he reached base on an error but picked up his first career RBI. But his career didn't really take off until he got traded to the Brewers after the 1977 season. Form then on, he would play a key role for the Brew Crew in helping them reach the postseason in 1981 and 1982, the year in which they lost to the Cardinals in the World Series. His best season was in 1980, when he led the league in home runs but he also had several other terrific seasons with the Brewers.

Who was this hitter, how many home runs did he hit as a member of the Tigers, what was his batting line in 1980 (batting average, home runs, RBI, and OPS), and what year did he led the league in home runs?
