I'm not as familiar with Hinduism as I am with Christianity and Islam, but I think it has to do with the strong political/government connection the monotheistic religions have.

People do like to wrap themselves up in rules and regulations demanded by their god. Hinduism, instead of wrapping itself up in rules, has a profusion of gods instead. If you think about it dispassionately, that's equally as foolish and unnecessary. All in all, Hinduism, Christianity, Islam, and ALL other religions, with their multiple gods and dogmas and superstitions is simply the best proof that THERE ARE NO GODS!

Hinduism is, a fantastic teaching of love & brotherhood, & FREEDOM !?
