What are your favorite DC Universe Comics?

So I'm just starting to get into reading DC comics, and I want to know what your favorites are. I really like the ones with darker stories and kinda detailed artwork (kinda like Superman/Batman Public Enemies). Not a huge fan of the 80's comics, but recommend your favorites and any you may think I like based on my preferences.

My personal favorites are the recent Green Lantern books. The art is so detailed and thorough, the story is always compelling and I love the new corps that they included (my fav is the Red Corps). If you haven't read them, I highly recommend! Start with Sinestro Corps War to see if you like them.
