Hi my buddy has a 02 yz 250 which is obviosly a carbed 2 stroke. He mixes his fuel at 80:1 wich I think is nuts. He says his bike is "tuned" for that. I understand you tune your carb by changing jets and float and needle settings for when you upgrade things like reeds and exhaust which change the flow of air through the bike. But what am I not understanding about a "tune" that makes a motor require less lubrication? I just gotta know. Sorry my brain works on logic and I sometimes have a hard time grasping new concepts that don't make clear sense. Could someone enlighten me on what he has done to run less oil?
