Why would a random person be taking pictures of my car number plate ?

My neighbour saw them taking photos .I have not been involved in any incidents or accidents .What are they up to ? Not normal ! Thanks x.
bog standard plate , elderly car & haven't "dinged" anyone !

maybe they are reporting you for something,maybe you should contact or go to your police station.

Is it an unusual or personalised plate (maybe a name?). You've already ruled out the accident. A bit paranoid but would they want to copy your plates onto a similar car for any reason?

So many possibilities. Such as some fraud or possibly someonentryingmto find you.
