Hard drive won't power on. (LaCie Porsche 9230)?

While writing data to my hard drive, it suddenly zapped off, without as much as a hiccup, from the device manager. Now I can't power it back on. Tried drive on 2nd CPU and still not recognized (I can't tell if the drive is on OR off.) The drive got warm at the melt down, but it never made any sound. What do I do now?
 
If you're having problems with your hard drive then a second CPU won't help at all, they're a completely different component. Beyond that, I can't tell you much. What do you mean the hard drive powers off? Does the computer stay on but the drive crashes, or does the computer just power down?
