    Recreation vs Competition hockey?

Is it possible to play both in one season?

Depends on your age / skill level. Check with the league director at your local rink(s).

Not many in rec leagues would succeed in a competitve environment likewise not all
from a competitive environment would be able -or willing- to play down a level to help
rec league skaters develop their confidence and skill.

The thing about hockey is it's all hockey, it's all competitive. Yes, it's very possible to play for two teams in one season.
