how to hunt herobrine ?

im pretty much new to minecraft and i was watching a youtube video about how they went on a hunt for herobrine and i havnt watched it all yet but it would be quite exciting to go on a proper hunt for him with torches and swords and the signs he leaves is there any way of purposefully making the signs appear or do you have to basically wait on survival until he comes , thanks

He doesn't actually exist, Herobrine is a myth and isn't in the game. XD
