Android OS on IPhone 3G?

Hi, basically my factory unlocked iphone 3g won't work with my verizon sim card. So I'm wondering if I install the android OS if it will let me use my verizon sim card? Thanks!

Also it is already jailbroken...and I know its possible to install android but my real question is will the "Phone" portion work with a new os, or is it just a hardware issue?

it's possible, but won't come easy. it requires you to jail break your iphone. i do not recommend this for beginners as you should have a bit of hardware and programming knowledge.
