Alfa Romeo 147 - Ran out of fuel - won't start again?

that's not a good thing and you have a precision vehicle too. All I would try is a bit of fuel in the carb you start it up or buy a can of starting fluid and give it a shot to see if the engine will even fire. this will tell the tale right then. On very rare occasions a vehicle runs out of fuel and can size the engine lets hope that did not happen here.

This will be fuel injected so you may have to bleed the system. Ask on an Alfa owners forum.
