My wife has gotten larger and she wants something more comfortable that has wider seats.
With many people getting larger I know there are options
is there a seat width chart somewhere?

one SUV that is affordable and comfortable is the chevy equinox....
seems to accommodate large people easily plus you can slide the
rear seat back 10 inches
