    How to play a .XVID file?

    I have a 698MB .xvid file.

    File name is:
    Warm.Bodies.2013.DVDrip.XViD

    So far I have installed all of these stuffs;
    1.xvid codec
    2.AutoGK
    3.VobSob
    4.VirtualDub
    5.VLC....

    I also tried renaming the file format, because sometimes it works, but it didn't work.

    Please tell me what to do.I'm clueless as I have exhausted every possible option found on Google Search.
    @soupfine:-I was thinking of the same thing since the file format should be like xvid.avi etc.

    My bad fake file.I really wanted to watch it with friends, since I missed the theater release.

    @Big,@Phoenix:-It can't be played with xvid player.Since xvid is a codec that is needed to compress video files. But thanks anyway for trying.

    @?:-Ideally VLC should be able to play it,but like soupfile said I downloaded a fake file
    but thanks for trying.

    You downloaded a bogus/fake torrent. That torrent has since been taken down from most legitimate torrent sites. Your file will not play no matter what...it's a fake.

    First clue it's a bogus torrent is that it claims to be a dvd rip, but that movie isn't out on dvd yet. It's too new and still playing in theaters.

    You need to download divx. Its free and is just a media player with xvid being its exclusive file. Google divx and download and click the xvid file you want to watch.
