My dad has owned a 1973 Opel GT for near 40 years now. He storage in 1987-88 and pulled it back out in the summer 2006. It's sat in our garage since. It's a pretty solid body and under neath it's still pretty decent. Maybe a little rust. Minor dings and dents from being a driver. Doesn't start. It does turn over, but won't pop. The clutch is probably collapsed and won't budge. Front breaks are locked up. Interior is pretty decent, but will definitely need some TLC. Engine is pretty rusty. Carb looks good inside. Will need a new exhaust. New grill. New lights. Lights won't flip. New paint obviously. Body is rusty around wheel wells. And it sadly has a Manta motor.. oh well.He wants to have it fully restored. So whatever you can think of to replace, it might need. How much will a full restoration be? He doesn't want to do the work. He would prefer a professional.
