Hi, I'm a 20 year old girl that is currently on the hunt for a new car. I have my eye on the Volkswagen 2013 beetle convertible. I heard lots of good things about it like their new key-less system "KESSEY" and that the convertible "cover" can be opened and closed while you are driving up to 50km/hr. My boyfriend told me that it's a pretty girly car (and I agree) but the new 2013 model is a little more masculine which I like. The only thing weird about it is that I rarely see it on the street. Why is that?
And what do u think of this car?

Some of these answers make me laugh

And yes for the money VW does make a great car just don't buy it with high hopes of big resale value.

Id actually recommend the Passat over the beetle.

You're 20 and want to buy a brand new 2013 car!? Cars are one of the worst investments you can make. They go down in value like crazy. The second you even drive off the lot its worth will go down by a few thousand dollars.

Unless you recently inherited a few hundred thousand dollars, or your parents are buying it, or you make 60k+ a year, this is a terrible idea. Buy a reliable used car and save your money for something worth while. You know, like a house.

Trust me, you'll thank me later in life--I promise.

You picked two really lame reasons to choose a car. Almost all cars use the keyless system these days and only a complete idiot would attempt to open a convertible top while driving down the road.

The new Beetle is cute, yes it's a girls car. Yes, VW makes a good car.
