I own a 2006 Nissan Altima 2.5 . Recently I was going on a highway and I tried to use the cruise control on my car, but when I try to set the speed, the "set" light did not come on until after 10 seconds, and it was blinking. I tried to let go of the gas but the car started to slow down, which means the cruise control is not working.
I turned off the cruise control and tried to speed up, however, the car can only goes up to about 2000 rpm and it was accelerating slowly even if i floor the gas pedal.
The next day I start up the car again and everything seems fine. which I tried the cruise control again tonight, and the same thing happened.
Please let me know what could be wrong with my car.
