I never noticed that until I moved to a small town. Holey moley (°_O)
Creepy like they are always staring at you, looking in your windows, looking at your computer screen behind you, stalking your Facebook, and yes always talking about you
No you can't ask me a random non creepy question

Creepy in terms off they talk about you behind your back yes. You can't trust those people.

but they seem oblivious to it themselves.

I don't understand it,because l lose more respect for them, than the person that they are actually gossiping about.
