iPhone 5 is the best.
If economy is the problem, then go for iPhone 4 or 4s. These are very good phones and economical too. Other brands are way behind in terms of the reliability, performance and battery backup. Go for it.

BlackBerry Z10 but in the choices given I would say the HTC phones. iPhone is outdated and boring, Lumia 720 is too big and bulky, the xperias are all waterproof, and the samsungs OS are a bit laggy.
