I have a 35 year old house that has builder grade vinyl siding and 15 pound tar

paper? Will it be rare that all the plywood sheathing under the siding and tar paper be destroyed and I would have to replace all the plywood sheathing? The reason I ask is because the siding and tar paper are builders grade material and its 35 years old. Even if it builders grade materials, does it still protect the sheathing underneath the siding and tar paper?

I've used 15# pound felt and the house are at least 40 years old with no deteriated plywood! As long as there is no moister problems you are fine Roofs have 15# felt and will last 25 years
