I need something that only takes half an hour and can be cooking while I get ready for school.
Sometimes the hardest meal to have in the day.
•Peanut/Almond/Cashew/ or whatever Butter Sandwich, Milk, Banana
•Hot Cereal with nuts and fruit (like oatmeal with slivered almonds and slices of apple and raisins). Milk on Side
•If you’re a baker, on the night before, just bake a batch of whatever muffins you like, and have it on the side of a poached egg, juice/milk.
•Buttered Toast with fruit preserves/marmalade on the side with tea (or milk if you don’t have time)
•An Orange, handful of nuts, a slice of toast with peanut butter
•Pancakes (Probably best to make it night before) with a Banana on the side.
•Scrambled Egg and Turkey sandwich
If you don’t have time to eat a nutritious breakfast, blend a quick smoothie with whatever milk you drink, a chopped up frozen banana (Assuming you’re not allergic), some strawberries and blueberries for antioxidants, and something green like wheatgrass powder for some quick added Chlorophyll.
Good luck!
Oatmeal is such a great choice for before school. Just get the packets (or make it home made if you have time). You can get really creative with toppings, which is nice. Some of my favorites to add are:
-butter/margarine
-brown sugar
-peanut butter
-nutella
-banana, fresh berries, etc.
-nuts
-vanilla soy milk/other milk
Another easy thing to make would be scrambled eggs with cheese and toast. Tip? Try adding a little cream cheese to the eggs. SO good.
Breakfast burritos are also easy...just scramble up some eggs/veggies/cheese and wrap in a tortilla.
You could also make pancakes or french toast the night before and have it ready to eat up the next morning.
Aside from those, these are my favorite breakfasts to have:
-cereal with banana
-hash browns with white gravy (takes a little time)
-bagel with strawberry cream cheese
-english muffin with peanut butter/jelly
-fried egg sandwich
-malt-o-meal with brown sugar/butter
-parfait with yogurt, fruit, and granola
-clif protein bar/other bar to go
I hope I helped
Make french toast, just mix milk, egg and sugar. Dip bread in and cook while you get ready. (though you will need to flip after a couple of minutes) It taste wonderful.
Omelettes. They take only about 5 minutes so you can prepare after eating
French Toast. They take a little more time but can be left cooking so you can get ready for school while wating for it to fully cook.
