Yesterday I went to watch a movie on my laptop but the DVD player didn't show the movie, I could only hear it. I have restarted my laptop many times and it still won't work >.< My laptop is my baby so PLEASE HELP!!

My macBook dvd player is black and won't play movie what do I do?

It could be the back light bulb or the backlight inverter board. If it's either of those then you should see a dim image on the screen if you look very closely.
