How soon will DVD's be a thing of the past like VHS Tapes?
Should I stop buying DVD movies that I can't find on Blu-ray.Will even Blu-ray be a thing of the past soon because the popularity of live streaming over the Internet is growing.I have a very large DVD collection, but I'm reading conflicting things about the future of Blu-ray. Are DVD's going to become obsolete in the near future, and if so, how quickly do you think it will be? Should I stop buying standard DVD's?
 
Unfortunately, yes the days are winding down. I collect dvd films, so I am not looking forward to this. I don't see myself ever downloading films onto a computer or something like that. I want the physical copy of the movie with the art work. Maybe theres a chance they will make a limited amount of dvds well into the future for those of us who collect movies.
