Good Sci fi/ fantasy novel?

If you want fantasy, then you NEED to read the Inheritance Cycle by Christopher Paolini. It's one of the best fantasy series with dragons. It's written good. Has great action. No book in the fantasy genre that I've read has been as good as these. Now as for sci-fi, I haven't read very much, but the book Deathworld by Harry Harrison was surprisingly good, even though it is kinda old. I would give it a try. Hope this helped.

I really enjoyed Throne of Glass by Sarah J Maas as a book with a female protagonist. It has 404 pages.

If you like fairies try Iron King by Julie Kagawa (Iron Fey #1) there is 4 books altogether in the series. It is told in first person by a girl called Meghan.

Just something different.
