    how can I jeep my PC downloading during the night?

    I want to download a big file and i want to be shure it is there tomorrow. When i simply close my laptop it wil go in to sleep mode and stop with whatever it was doing...

    My pc is a "compac presario CQ57".

    Just keep the lid open. I've done this before.

    go to the power settings in control panel. find the 'change what happens when i close the lid' option (or something around those lines) and choose 'do nothing'

    Hi,

    I'm assuming that your using Windows Operating system, Firstly you need to go into the control panel and click system & security. After that you need to click the power options, then on the left hand side it should give you a list to select from, you want to click choose what closing the lid does.
    then change the settings as your desire then you laptop should stay running when you close the lid.

    Remember to change the settings back to save your battery.
