How to set up email on my LG Motion (metro pcs)?

I get to the point where its asking me to choose a server setting, whats that about? And its asking for a password.

Options are IMAP4 and POP3 and i know nothing about either of them, i just want to log onto Yahoo lol, can i get some help please.

First one to help out gets the 10 points!
 
If you are with metro pcs, it should give you a list of different types of accounts such as Yahoo, Hotmail, etc. and you would just select the one you are trying to set up and in the next field you would enter your login, next field enter your password and then tap Next. Follow the instructions and check your settings/ preferences to be sure you are getting as much or as little amount of email as you would like to see on your phone.
