If I gave you 12 toothpicks, each 1 unit long, could you use them all to make a polygon with an area of 4 square units? Show your work please.

I've tried everything and I can't come up with anything :C
@AskJoe;; I asked my teacher that but he said it didn't count because it's 4 different polygons
 
Make a large square that is 2 units by 2 units. That will take 8 tooth picks. Then take the four remaining toothpicks and place them inside the large square, subdividing the large square into four smaller squares.
 
what about a 2x2 square (8 toothpicks) with 2 rows end to end inside the square.

the area is the same.
