I much prefer Newport's rather than Marlboros but which is healthier?

Sure - if you eliminate the tobacco.
About the only thing less safe than tobacco is cyanide.
Tobacco is merely a slower way to kill yourself.
Only a fool who doesn't want to live would smoke cigarettes at all !
One third of all cancer deaths in the USA - we do to ourselves.
It might be alright if smokers were resigned to their fates
when they developed smoking related diseases, but they do not.
They clamor for cures and expensive medical care for problems
they caused themselves. '
We ALL pay for the 20+ percent of people who are addicted to cigarettes.
No doubt about it - cigarettes are an addictive drug.

Menthol is just a flavouring additive.

It has no effect on the health risks of a cigarette.
