    leaky ceiling vent fan?

Water is dripping from the ceiling fan vent housing in both of my bathrooms. One is filled up the plastic light cover (BROAN) and the other is dripping from the housing itself. This just started about 2 weeks ago.

It could be moisture build up if the fan isnt being used when showering or if its vented through the roof the rubber boot around the pipe could be cracked open

Pull the vent cover off(just straight down) and see for yourself. Got snow on the roof? maybe it is melting down the vent tube. You can see, I can't.

If it has been raining outside then you may have a leak in the roof. If they are vented through the roof they may be leaking rain water around or through the duct. If these are new units then the tops of the units in the attic need to be covered with insulation as hot moist air is hitting the cold metal of the vent fans causing condensation. If they are not new and have been in use for some time and this problem has just started then I don't know what to tell you other than to check the insulation above the vent fans.
