What's the name of the ps2 game that had a medieval theme?

It was out a while ago, I think the main character was a teenage-ish boy with light brown hair. I believe he worn green. You had the option to build on to the village adding like trees and stuff like that. I can't remember much because the game would usually freeze after that. I really cant remember what it was called and its driving me crazy! So any help would be good.
