lost? Iphone 3 tracking?

can an iphone 3 be tracked? since i lost mine what should i do and what will they do to prevent me from tracking them?

if they take out the sim card will it be too late?
or is it too late if they connect it to itunes and restore it as well as taking out the sim card?

is it possible for them to bypass my passcode as well?

Its called the iPhone 3G or 3GS. There is no iPhone 3.

Only way you would have been able to do anything would have been the Find My iPhone app. If not there then there's nothing you could do.
