Can you use a wireless Bluetooth receiver on a sound mixer?

I need to make my speakers wireless, so I was wondering if I could buy a Bluetooth transmitter for speakers and plug the receiver into the sound mixer. Would it automatically connect to the speaker. If not, how can I use a wireless Bluetooth reciever on a sound board.

Bluetooth is just one wireless protocol, there are many others.

For the distance you get with actual Bluetooth, you can just as easily use wires.

For real pro audio, you can get wireless systems, but they are not cheap. Real audio professionals, find out how to run cables. Since you need to run power, audio isn't that hard.

You really want to use wireless only for portability.
