Decent SUV's that are good on gas? 1995-2003?

I'd like to know what kind/kinds of SUV's or trucks that are good on gas & won't give me too too many problems. And it has to have four wheel drive. Thanks!

sorry but SUVs are like the worst thing you can have for fuel efficiency. they usually require large engines for their extra weight. on top of that, SUVs of that era were not aerodynamically designed to be efficient. if you require 4 wheel drive alone try to look for a subaru, mistubishi or audi. if it's for carrying large amounts of stuff then i'd suggest a toyota tacoma pick up truck, they are very reliable, can be ok on gas if you don't push them hard. another one that isn't as good on gas but is a lot better for people is a chevy blazer. stay away from the vortec 4.3l engine as it will absolutely destroy gas. (12 mpgs combined) reliability will be fairly good if you (as well as the previous owners) take good care of it.
