Yes, he is called Dajjal (the great deceiver), his mission will be to impersonate the true messiah (Jesus) and so will have to fulfill all that Jesus was supposed to. i.e. recreate a state of israel in Jerusalem, bring the jews back to the holy land, have them believe that this is the holy israel of david and solomon, cause that israel to become the ruling state in the world etc...

The prophet Muhammad (pbuh) said : There is no greater trial (for mankind) than that of the the false messiah.
